"Faux Surfaces" What are they? How to care for them.

This is one of those areas in which we can offer little guidance. "Faux" means "false". It is a color treatment applied to any number of surfaces like wood, plaster, drywall mud, etc. It is a skillfully applied treatment of color and texture to make the surface look like something else. The most familiar example is wood furniture painted to look like marble.

This is not a natural stone and all our expertise is with real stone, brick, and tile.

The only advice we can offer is to be extremely cautious with whatever you are trying to accomplish and remember your are dealing with paint and not stone.
