What If The Surface Consists Of Two Or More Types Of Material?

Choose the sealer for the least absorbent of the materials.

If that won't give you the higher gloss level you desire - that is OK. Gloss can be achieved by using Aldon "Lifeguard" later.

Its more important that you select the sealer that will do the best sealing job.

If one or more of these materials has no absorption at all, for instance glazed tile accent pieces in the midst of unglazed paving, only use Aldon "Same Day Sealer".

"Same Day" is a water base penetrating type that will allow you to seal everything that needs it, but easily wipe it off the glazed tile that doesn't need it, won't take it, and might show streaks from a different kind of sealer.

Note: "S-B-S Sealer" works great on wood and painted wood.

If one or more of these materials has no absorption at all, for instance glazed tile accent pieces in the midst of wood and unglazed tile, only use Aldon "Same Day Sealer".

"Same Day" is a water base penetrating type that will allow you to seal everything that needs it, but easily wipe it off the glazed tile that doesn't need it, won't take it, and might show streaks from a different kind of sealer. However, test the "Same Day Sealer" on the wood for a color change. Some woods can show darkening from "Same Day".
