Here are a few common issues encountered on all web sites:

Using "Safari" browser and things do not look right?

The "Safari" browser handles imbedded "frame" type windows differently than "Internet Explorer" and "Firefox". We use frames in many places because it makes it much easier for our visitors to view numerous pages easily. If you experience this problem, you will need to use one of the other browsers or find any Safari settings that address the handling of frames.

Text too small to read?

Make it bigger by:

  • Click "View" on your browser
  • Click "Text Size" and select a larger size.
Page download issues:
  • Your page is missing a button or picture?

It is not because our site is not working properly. It is almost always because the page or graphic was corrupted when downloading from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to you. This bad file is then in your computer's memory "cache" and everytime you try to view the page it is coming from your cache instead of a new download from our server to your ISP to you. Click this test button   here    and a small window should pop up. This window should fill with text.

To fix: go to the TOOLS tab on your browser. Then depending on the browser - click "internet options" or "clear private data" or other term for cached files. Then close out your browser windows and restart it. When you then visit a web site like ours, all the corrupted files are gone and you will download new ones from the server.

  • If the window is empty, or there is no window, you will want to enable this "pop up" window function. This is not the same as a "pop up advertisement". Our web site uses information windows extensively and when you click on these links it makes a small window pop up that you can read and then put away. Most other web sites also use these, so you will want to enable your browser to handle this "script" function.

There are primarily three reasons why this would happen.

    1. Your company server may not allow "scripts". Ask your I.T. person if desirable popups can be allowed.
    2. You have software on your computer that suppresses unwanted popup and banner advertisements used by overly aggressive marketing companies. See if it has a setting to allow desirable popups, or at least temporarily allow them.
    3. Last, and this is usually the reason - your browser has been set to disable "scripting". This is easy to correct - see below.

Browsers may vary in the exact sequence and wording, but here is how "scripting" is enabled and disabled in Internet Explorer Version 6.0. Other browsers should be very similar.

1.Click "Tools", and then click "Internet Options" or "Options". You can drag the new window to the side so you can see the following steps.
    2.Click the "Security" tab.
    3.Click the "Custom Level" button.
4.Scroll almost to the bottom to the section "Scripting" with sub-section "Active Scripting". (Not the section "Scripting of Java Applets")
    5.Select "Enable".
    6.Click the "OK" button,
    7. Click the "YES" button for "Are you sure you want to change the security settings for this zone?"
    8. Click the last "OK" button.
    9. Now make your browser "Refresh" or "Reload". This will load the new settings.
Now, click the test button at the top of this page to see if the window pops up and fills with information.

If desired, you can use the same process to "disable" scripting again when done.
