As you see on the labels, we say to pour directly out of the container and onto the floor. Not into an intermediate container.

Here are some of the reasons:

With the solvent based products you can be losing liquid into the air before it is all used.

To prevent you doing a light top coating "paint job".  That is not a good seal job.  The puddle allows the surface to absorb what it actually needs, not just what you give it.  Absorbencies vary across the floor of tile and grout, and many times across the face of one tile.

An intermediate container could introduce contamination to the process.
