Restoring trim paint on wood and metal
On of the many usages for
is the ability to do a quick and easy restoration of some trim paint situations.
This is the wood trim on a garage door that has become highly faded. The light sections are before being sprayed with an aerosol can of S-B-S Sealer. The darker section is after being sprayed with the sealer and it has dried.
This is a metal downspout before and after treatment with S-B-S Sealer. The straight sections of downspout are not faded. The bent sections started out identical with the straight sections but must have been painted with a different process. After a couple of years they were extremely dull and faded, and contrasted greatly with the unfaded straight sections.
There was no surface preparation for the wood or the metal. Simply spraying the sealer.
This all applies on the larger field areas of paint also, but in that case you want to do a full repaint and not a touch up process.
